Biography
Kara Shanks, PTA is a certified physical therapy assistant at The CORE Institute.
Kara joined The CORE Institute after earning her undergraduate degree from Suny Broome Community College.
While in school, she gained clinical experience in subacute and outpatient rehabilitation. This allowed her to observe total knee replacement surgeries and follow patients through a “joint camp” program, and use various manual therapy techniques including massage, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and stretching.
