Dr Chiang was approachable, answered all my questions, and did quality work!! The day of surgery, I checked in at 6am and was home the same day by 4pm. I’m now six weeks out and walking over 4000 steps a day. Prior to surgery I could barely walk across the room! He gave me my quality of life back.

I knew Dr Chiang could fix my painful knee and after 7 weeks of therapy and hard work I told him I could do things I could not do for months. He asked if I was pleased with the decision to do the surgery and without hesitation I said yes. He offered more therapy but I have learned a lot from going and I do the 'My Recovery' exercises every day at home so he says with more time and work I should be better. Best choice I could have made after 10 years of not hiking. Core made this a very simple experience, 6 weeks after surgery my mobility is unbelievable. Dr Chiang and his team have been absolutely awesome in my adventure for new knee to come! New knee two, next when it can be done. Knowledgeable, professional, kind, on-time and detail oriented describes everyone involved in the process. They actually treat you like a real human being which is so unusual in the medical landscape of 2024! The Core has standards and procedures in place to deal with insurance so you know exactly what you're getting into. I am female of 68 y.o. After trauma of hip with progression of pain over the years because of arthritis, I end up needing full hip replacement surgery. By advice of many people I came to CORE institute, where Dr.Chiang became my surgeon. His job on my hip is a work of art. Because of my multiple allergic reactions and desire after surgery go back to my passion - dancing, he had challenge to choose material of hip for me. So he created one, which included all my needs. My recovery and hip movement after week 6 are unbelievable. I am pain free with no pain medication. X-ray showed that my new hip is healed without complications, and I can go from physical therapy to gym, swimming, social activities. I feel it’s like beginning of new life, which I am having back because of Dr.Chiang. He is very patient and kind to clients, checking them after surgery, answering question, giving advices for faster safe recovery. Dr. Chiang, as well as other team members I interacted with, were pleasant, caring, and most important to me, did not make me fee as if I were in a cattle chute. Because of the size of that CORE location, and the number of patients passing through the office, it would be easy, and for many practices, standard operating procedure to be cold and hurried. But somehow the system you have in place takes all the necessary steps, including xrays onsite, but still remains very caring and human in patient interactions. Excellent bedside manner. From the second we met him we had his undivided attention. He made us feel like he would stay with us until all of our questions were answered. He never made us feel like we were on a time limit or that he had somewhere else to be. My husband had a total knee replacement by Dr. Chiang and was his first Mako (robot) patient (well, non cadaver). He is only 5 days post op and can already bend his knee to 90* which is a goal they try to meet by the 2-week post op appointment. We could not be more pleased with Dr. Chiang, Angela his assistant/surgery scheduler, The Core Institute and everyone at the Core Institute Specialty Hospital.
