Biography

Mark Allen, DO, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Reconstruction of the Hip and Knee.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Allen treated patients across Arizona and Nevada, focusing on robotic-assisted total joint replacement, including partial knee, total knee, and anterior hip arthroplasty, as well as complex primary and revision hip and knee procedures. He also incorporates non-operative treatment options such as injections, physical therapy, and bracing, and emphasizes clear communication and a positive patient experience throughout every stage of care.

Dr. Allen completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction of the Hip and Knee at The CORE Institute and his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine at St. John Oakland Hospital. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada and his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Weber State University, graduating Cum Laude with a minor in Chemistry.

Dr. Allen is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is MAKO-certified in robotic hip and knee arthroplasty. He remains actively involved in orthopedic research and education, with multiple peer-reviewed publications focused on joint replacement and robotics. Outside of work Dr. Allen enjoys golfing, hiking, swimming as well as playing sports with his wife and children.
